Bill! I like the blog. Are you saying the choice is between open range with rooster and chicken run only without rooster? If so, I vote for open range with rooster. How sweet it is to see the chickens roaming and dirt bathing, then heading for home at evening time. And who can really call herself a farm intern without earning her stripes at the spurs of the resident rooster?

Dear Uncle Willy,

With a little bit of Google searching and some luck I managed to track down the farm and your blog! Which my dad had rumored about, but never actually gave the address for, and mum doesn't know quite how to navigate a computer.

In any case, I did really enjoy visiting you and Rebecca at Bainbridge and I am vastly enjoying exploring both the site and your blog! I hope all is going well for you (I'm sorry about the rooster - I've seen a few go in my jobs as interpreter of historical plantation homes, never a fun business). If I can ever scrape up the money I'd love to come visit again!

Also, please let me know if the the farm is in need of any help - my dear friend Jen Yogi is moving out to Seattle to work for the Peace Corps soon and loves this kind of work!

Hope all is well and much love from everyone here to you (and happy belated birthday!),
Molly
